1 pound (450 g) fresh asparagus, trimmed
1–2 tablespoons olive oil
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
½ teaspoon lemon zest (optional)
1 tablespoon grated Parmesan (optional, omit for paleo)
Instructions
Rinse asparagus thoroughly and pat dry. Trim woody ends by snapping or cutting 1–2 inches from the bottom.
Place asparagus in a bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and toss to coat. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and garlic powder if using. Toss again to distribute evenly.
Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 2–3 minutes.
Place asparagus in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding.
Cook 7–10 minutes, shaking halfway through. Asparagus should be tender with lightly crispy tips.
Remove and garnish with lemon zest, fresh lemon juice, or Parmesan if desired. Serve immediately.
