Ingredients
Scale
1 cup almond flour
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup whole milk
1/2 cup sour cream
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch cake pan with butter or non-stick spray and line with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the almond flour, all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, ground cardamom, and salt. Set aside.
In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
Add the dry ingredients in batches, alternating with the milk and sour cream. Start and end with dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack to cool completely. Slice and serve, optionally dusted with powdered sugar.
