  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 cup water chestnuts, diced
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • 810 large lettuce leaves (butter or iceberg)

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Add the ground chicken to the pan. Crumble it and cook until it is browned, about 5-6 minutes.
  3. Stir in the hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Mix well to coat the chicken.
  4. Add the diced water chestnuts and chopped green onions to the pan. Cook for another 1-2 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. Spoon the chicken mixture into the prepared lettuce leaves. Serve the Asian chicken lettuce wraps immediately.
