Baked Brie Cob With Cranberry Sauce is the ultimate festive appetizer — warm, gooey brie baked inside a crusty cob loaf, topped with tangy cranberry sauce, herbs, and surrounded by golden, buttery bread pieces for dipping. Perfect for Thanksgiving, Christmas, or any holiday gathering, it’s easy, elegant, and irresistibly delicious.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large round cob loaf (sourdough or crusty white bread)
  • 1 wheel of brie cheese (about 78 oz)
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme (or rosemary)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional garnish: extra herbs, toasted nuts, honey drizzle, or pomegranate seeds

Instructions

  1. Set oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Cut off the top of the cob and hollow out a circular center just large enough to fit the brie. Tear the removed bread into bite-sized pieces for dipping.
  3. Place the brie wheel into the hollowed loaf. Spoon cranberry sauce on top and sprinkle with thyme, salt, and pepper.
  4. Mix melted butter and garlic powder, then brush inside the loaf and torn bread pieces. Arrange bread pieces around the loaf on the tray.
  5. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until bread is golden and brie is melted and gooey.
  6. Place on a serving board surrounded by toasted bread. Garnish with herbs or drizzle of honey. Serve immediately for best texture.
