Ingredients

Scale
  • Frozen or fresh hash browns
  • 1 large egg
  • 12 tablespoons all-purpose flour or cornstarch
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Marinara or classic pizza sauce
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Shredded cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Pre-cooked and crumbled beef sausage
  • Crispy beef bacon bits
  • Diced cooked beef ham
  • Eggs (scrambled or raw)
  • Diced bell peppers
  • Onions
  • Sliced mushrooms
  • Spinach
  • Halved cherry tomatoes
  • Fresh chopped chives or parsley
  • Dried oregano
  • Basil
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. If using frozen hash browns, thaw them completely. Place hash browns in a clean kitchen towel and wring out as much liquid as possible for a crispy crust. Transfer to a bowl.
  2. Mix the dried hash browns with one large egg, 1-2 tablespoons of flour/cornstarch, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Press evenly onto a lightly greased 12-inch pizza pan or baking sheet, forming a crust with slightly raised edges.
  3. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake the hash brown crust for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown and crispy.
  4. While the crust bakes, prepare toppings (cook beef sausage/bacon, dice vegetables, scramble eggs if using cooked). Remove the pre-baked crust from the oven. Spread an even layer of sauce over the crust, leaving a small border.
  5. Sprinkle half of the cheese blend over the sauce. Evenly distribute your cooked beef sausage, beef bacon bits, diced vegetables, and scrambled eggs (if using cooked). Top with the remaining cheese. If adding raw eggs, crack them gently over the toppings and season lightly.
  6. Return the assembled pizza to the oven. Bake for another 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and slightly golden, and any raw eggs are set.
  7. Carefully remove the pizza. Let cool for a few minutes before slicing to allow the cheese to set. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley or chives and red pepper flakes if desired. Slice and serve immediately.
