These Creamsicle Truffles are a nostalgic no-bake treat combining white chocolate and zesty orange flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups white chocolate chips
  • ¾ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice
  • 1 cup crushed graham crackers
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups candy coating or white chocolate
  • extra orange zest

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, gently heat ¾ cup of heavy cream over low heat until it just begins to simmer. Remove from heat and pour the hot cream over 2 cups of white chocolate chips in a mixing bowl. Stir until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth. Add the zest of one orange and 2 tablespoons of fresh orange juice, whisking well to combine.
  2. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid and place it in the refrigerator for about 1 to 2 hours, or until the ganache is firm to the touch.
  3. Once the ganache is set, scoop out small portions and roll each into a ball, about 1 inch in diameter. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. While the truffles chill, prepare the coating by placing 2 cups of candy coating or white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until fully melted and smooth.
  5. Using a fork or toothpick, dip each chilled truffle into the melted coating, ensuring full coverage. Let excess coating drip off before placing on the parchment-lined sheet.
  6. Before the coating sets completely, sprinkle a little extra orange zest over the top of each truffle.

Notes

  • Substitute coconut cream for a dairy-free option.
  • Use pure vanilla extract for a richer flavor.
  • Swap graham crackers with gluten-free crackers if needed.
  • Reduce powdered sugar for a less sweet treat.
  • Consider colored coating for festive occasions.
