Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • 2 cups water or broth
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Rinse rice, then simmer with water or broth and salt for 18–20 minutes until fluffy. Set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season shrimp and cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in chicken broth, scraping up browned bits.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan. Simmer 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened. Add lemon juice.
  6. Return shrimp to skillet and toss to coat in sauce.
  7. Spoon creamy shrimp over rice, garnish with parsley, and serve hot.
