Delight in Crispy Air Fryer Apple Fries, a quick and easy snack that offers a sweet, guilt-free treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large Apples (Use Granny Smith for tartness or Honeycrisp for sweetness.)
  • 1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour (Can be swapped for gluten-free flour.)
  • 2 large Eggs (Beaten to bind the coating.)
  • 1 cup Panko Breadcrumbs (For added crunch; regular breadcrumbs can also work.)
  • 2 tsp Cinnamon (Enhances flavor with warmth.)
  • 2 tbsp Granulated Sugar (Adds subtle sweetness.)
  • Cooking Spray (Promotes a crispy finish.)
  • 1/2 cup Caramel Sauce (Optional, complements sweetness.)
  • 1/2 cup Vanilla Yogurt (Optional, fresh and tangy.)

Instructions

  1. Wash and optionally peel the apples. Slice them into 1/2-inch wedges, removing the core and seeds. Mix cinnamon and sugar in a bowl for coating.
  2. Prepare three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with panko breadcrumbs mixed with half of the cinnamon-sugar.
  3. Coat each apple slice in flour, then dip in egg and press into panko mixture. Set aside on a plate.
  4. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3 minutes.
  5. Place apple slices in the air fryer basket, avoiding overcrowding. Lightly spray with cooking spray and cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway.
  6. Remove the apple fries once golden and crisp, sprinkle with remaining cinnamon-sugar, and serve with dipping sauces.
