Fig and Goat Cheese Pinwheels that combine the rich flavor of figs and tangy goat cheese in a flaky pastry. Perfect for appetizers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet Puff Pastry (Thawed)
  • 1/2 cup Fig Preserves (Can substitute with other jams)
  • 4 oz Goat Cheese (Crumbled)
  • 1 large Egg (For wash)
  • 1 tsp Fresh Thyme (Optional)

Instructions

  1. Thaw the puff pastry in the fridge until it is cold but still workable, about 30 minutes. Roll out the pastry into a rectangle.
  2. Spread fig preserves over the pastry, leaving a half-inch border. Crumble goat cheese over the preserves; add thyme if desired.
  3. Roll the pastry tightly into a log, wrap in parchment paper, and chill in the freezer for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Slice the log into even pinwheels, about 1 inch thick, and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Brush pinwheels with beaten egg and bake for 15-20 minutes until puffed and golden.
