  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Optional: 1/4 cup dry white wine
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Pat steak cubes dry with paper towels.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Add steak cubes to the bowl and toss until evenly coated. Set aside.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Sear steak cubes in batches for 3-4 minutes per side, until browned. Remove and set aside.
  6. Reduce heat to medium. Add butter to the skillet and melt completely.
  7. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds, until fragrant.
  8. (Optional) Add white wine and simmer for 1-2 minutes.
  9. Return steak cubes to the skillet, tossing to coat in the garlic butter sauce.
  10. Cook for 2-3 minutes, until heated through and internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  11. Stir in parsley.
  12. (Optional) Squeeze lemon juice over steak bites.
  13. Serve immediately with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a salad.

Notes

  • Don’t overcrowd the pan when searing.
  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure desired doneness.
  • Substitute chicken broth for white wine if needed.
  • Experiment with herbs and spices.
  • For spicier bites, add red pepper flakes to the flour mixture.
  • Use other beef cuts like tenderloin or ribeye for a more luxurious dish.
  • Add mushrooms or onions with the garlic for extra flavor.
