  • 1 small head cauliflower, chopped into florets (about 4 cups / 500g)
  • 8 oz (225g) brown mushrooms, sliced
  • 5 garlic cloves, finely minced
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Fresh chopped parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat until melted and bubbling.
  2. Add cauliflower florets and sauté 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned and tender-crisp.
  3. Stir in sliced mushrooms and cook another 5–7 minutes until softened and lightly browned.
  4. Stir in minced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking 1–2 minutes until fragrant. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Sprinkle with Parmesan (if using), toss gently, and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve warm.
