Crispy Garlic Parmesan Crusted Halibut – The Best Halibut Recipe Ever!

  • 4 halibut fillets (about 6 ounces each, skinless)
  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ⅓ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Set oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with olive oil.
  2. In a small bowl, combine panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, melted butter, olive oil, salt, pepper, and lemon zest. Mix until crumbly.
  3. Pat fillets dry with a paper towel. Place on the prepared baking sheet and lightly brush the tops with olive oil or butter.
  4. Spoon the breadcrumb mixture over each fillet, pressing gently to form a thick, even layer.
  5. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve immediately with lemon wedges for a bright finish.
