Create a spooktacular Halloween Burger that’s a hit for parties or family dinners. This recipe transforms a classic burger into a fun, edible creation with spider legs made of fries and spooky olive eyes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 4 burger buns
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • Lettuce leaves
  • 2 tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced into rings
  • Pickles (optional)
  • Ketchup, mustard, or spooky sauces
  • Pretzel sticks or french fries (for spider legs)
  • Black olives, cheese rounds, or candy eyes (for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Prepare patties: Mix ground beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Form into 4 patties, slightly larger than buns.
  2. Cook: Heat skillet or grill over medium-high. Cook patties 4–5 minutes per side until done. Melt cheese slices on top in the last minute.
  3. Assemble: Layer bun with lettuce, tomato, onion, and cheesy patty. Add sauces as desired.
  4. Add spooky décor: Use fries or pretzel sticks for spider legs, and olives, cheese, or candy eyes for spooky faces.
  5. Serve: Present with themed fries or sides for a complete Halloween dinner.

Notes

  • For toddlers, make mini slider versions with softer buns and mild flavors.
  • Use toothpicks or skewers to secure heavy decorations like olive “eyes.”
  • Spider fry legs work best with thick-cut fries or sweet potato fries.
  • For a quick version, use store-bought patties or chicken nuggets as bases.
  • Get kids involved by letting them decorate their own burgers with toppings.
