Quick and easy low-carb turkey and cheese roll-ups are a protein-packed snack or meal that takes only 5 minutes to prepare. These guilt-free roll-ups are perfect for busy days, post-workout fuel, or last-minute appetizers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 slices thick-cut turkey fillet (about 1/8″ thick)
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 4 large lettuce leaves (optional)

Instructions

  1. Lay turkey slices flat on a clean cutting board. Pat dry with a paper towel if needed.
  2. Spread about 3/4 teaspoon Dijon mustard evenly on each turkey slice, avoiding the edges.
  3. Sprinkle garlic powder and black pepper lightly and evenly across each slice.
  4. Place a slice of cheese slightly off-center on each turkey slice. Fold thinner cheese slices in half for better distribution.
  5. Start from the cheese side and roll each turkey slice tightly but gently.
  6. If using lettuce leaves, wrap one around each roll-up. Secure with a toothpick if needed.

Notes

  • Use thick-cut deli turkey for best results; thin slices may tear.
  • Any good melting cheese like Swiss or pepper jack can be substituted for cheddar.
  • Yellow mustard mixed with a little mayo can be used if Dijon is unavailable.
  • Add smoked paprika or everything bagel seasoning for extra flavor.
  • For vegetarian option, use grilled portobello mushroom slices.
  • Roll-ups can be made ahead and stored for up to 2 days.
  • For best rolling, ensure cheese is at room temperature.
  • Leftovers can be gently reheated in a microwave for 5 seconds if dry.
