  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 cup chopped pecans (toasted for best flavor)
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • A pinch of orange zest

Instructions

  1. Preheat to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, beat butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (2–3 minutes).
  3. Mix in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients until combined.
  5. Fold in oats, dried cranberries, and chopped pecans until evenly distributed.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto prepared sheets, spacing 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake 10–12 minutes or until edges are golden and centers are just set.
  8. Let cool on sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
