  • 2 lbs beef stew meat or sirloin tips, cubed
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) Campbell’s Cream of Onion Soup
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • 1 packet Lipton Onion Soup Mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (optional, for browning)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high. Brown beef cubes for extra flavor.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together Cream of Onion Soup, Cream of Mushroom Soup, onion soup mix, water, Worcestershire sauce, and pepper.
  4. Add beef to a 9×13-inch baking dish. Pour soup mixture over top and stir to coat.
  5. Cover the dish tightly with heavy-duty foil — no peeking!
  6. Bake 2½–3 hours, until beef is fork-tender.
  7. Carefully remove foil, stir, and serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles.
