- 12 large Fresh Strawberries
- 12 oz Orange Candy Melts
- 1 tsp Coconut Oil or Shortening
- 12 cookies Chocolate Sandwich Cookies
- 6 pieces Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups or Disks
- 2–3 tbsp Reserved Melted Orange Chocolate
- Start by rinsing 12 large strawberries under cool running water, then gently pat them dry with a paper towel.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine 12 oz of orange candy melts with 1 tsp of coconut oil and microwave in 30-second intervals until melted.
- Dip each strawberry into the melted orange chocolate, allowing excess chocolate to drip off.
- Crush 12 chocolate sandwich cookies and sprinkle the ‘dirt’ over the parchment paper where the coated strawberries are placed.
- Drizzle reserved melted orange chocolate over the coated strawberries once they’ve set for about 5 minutes.
- Allow the assembled pumpkins to cool at room temperature for about 20 minutes so that the chocolate can fully set.
Notes
- Select large, firm strawberries with bright green tops.
- Alternatively, use white chocolate with orange food coloring.
- Optional chocolate peanut butter cups add extra texture.
