These Sausage Stuffing Balls are the perfect bite-sized appetizer for any season. They combine savory sausage, herby stuffing mix, and a hint of onion for a flavor-packed, golden-baked treat. Perfect for holidays, game days, or brunch, these easy-to-make sausage balls are crispy on the outside, tender inside, and absolutely irresistible.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound (450g) ground pork sausage
  • 1 (6-ounce / 170g) package dry bread stuffing mix
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) milk
  • Optional: pinch of black pepper or dried herbs

Instructions

  1. Set the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. In a large bowl, combine sausage, dry stuffing mix, chopped onion, eggs, and milk. Mix thoroughly by hand or with a sturdy spoon until well combined.
  3. Form 1.5-inch balls using your hands or a scoop. You should get about 24 sausage stuffing balls. Arrange them on the baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 20–25 minutes, until the sausage is fully cooked and the edges of the sausage stuffing balls are golden brown.
  5. Let the sausage stuffing balls rest for a few minutes, then serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces.

Notes

  • Do not use prepared stuffing mix. Keep it dry for the best texture of your sausage stuffing balls.
  • If the sausage stuffing ball mixture feels sticky, refrigerate for 15 minutes before shaping.
  • Add shredded cheddar for cheesy sausage balls or use spicy sausage for extra heat in your sausage stuffing balls.
  • Great for freezing. Bake, cool, and freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes for a crispy finish.
