Ingredients
Scale
3–4 ripe bananas
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup whole milk
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Peel and slice 3-4 ripe bananas into a large bowl. Gently mash them with a fork, leaving some chunks for texture.
Add 1/2 cup of granulated sugar, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice to the mashed bananas. Stir until well combined, and set aside.
In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 tablespoon of baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
In another bowl, mix 1/2 cup of melted unsalted butter and 1 cup of milk until smooth. Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed; do not overmix.
In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, pour the banana filling evenly on the bottom. Spoon the topping mixture over the bananas, spreading it out gently to cover the filling.
Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
