Stuffed Puff Pastry Donut Hearts are flaky, golden heart-shaped pastries filled with sweet jam or cream, baked until puffed and finished with powdered sugar or pink glaze.

Ingredients

  • 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
  • Fruit jam or jelly (raspberry, strawberry, or cherry)
  • 1 large egg (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar or glaze for topping
  • Optional: Nutella, cream cheese filling, sprinkles, pink food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out puff pastry and cut an even number of hearts using a cookie cutter.
  3. Place half the hearts on the baking sheet and add 1 teaspoon filling to the center of each.
  4. Top with remaining hearts and press edges with a fork to seal.
  5. Brush tops with beaten egg.
  6. Bake 15–18 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
  7. Cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with glaze.
