Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour (250 g)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (200 g)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 ¼ cups eggnog (300 ml)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted (113 g)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour (60 g)
  • ⅓ cup brown sugar (70 g)
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 3 tablespoons cold butter, cubed

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, whisk eggs, eggnog, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  4. Gently stir wet ingredients into dry ingredients until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Mix flour, brown sugar, and nutmeg. Cut in cold butter until coarse crumbs form.
