  • 2 large eggs
  • ⅓ cup vegetable oil
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 2½ cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  2. In a large bowl, combine cake mix, eggs, and oil. Stir until a thick dough forms.
  3. Form 1½-inch dough balls and place 2 inches apart on prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 8–10 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft. Cool for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  5. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in cocoa powder and milk. Bring just to a boil, remove from heat, then whisk in powdered sugar, vanilla, and salt until smooth.
