Creamy Turkey Pumpkin White Bean Chili – The Ultimate Comfort Food for Autumn

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 yellow onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 (15-ounce) can pumpkin puree
  • 1 (15-ounce) can white beans, drained and rinsed
  • 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Avocado
  • Cilantro
  • Greek yogurt or sour cream
  • Shredded cheese
  • Tortilla chips or strips
  • Pumpkin seeds

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add ground turkey and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
  2. Add diced onion and garlic. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in cumin, chili powder, smoked paprika, oregano, cayenne, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1 minute to bloom spices.
  4. Stir in pumpkin puree, white beans, and broth. Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Stir in fresh lime juice just before serving.
  6. Ladle into bowls and top with your favorite garnishes.
