  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • Red food coloring
  • Heart-shaped sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients and milk, alternating between them.
  6. Pour batter into greased cake pans.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow cakes to cool completely.
  9. Whip heavy cream and mix with powdered sugar and food coloring for frosting.
  10. Frost the cooled cakes and decorate with sprinkles.
