Irresistible Chocolate-Covered Marshmallows – A Sweet & Simple Homemade Treat

Ingredients

  • 1 bag (10 oz) large marshmallows
  • 12 oz semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips (or chocolate melting wafers)
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil or vegetable shortening
  • Optional toppings: sprinkles, crushed cookies, nuts, mini candies, white chocolate drizzle

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Melt chocolate chips with coconut oil in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  3. Using a fork or skewer, dip each marshmallow into the melted chocolate and tap off excess.
  4. While chocolate is wet, sprinkle with desired toppings.
  5. Place marshmallows on parchment paper and refrigerate 10–15 minutes until chocolate is firm.
  6. Arrange on a tray, package as gifts, or enjoy immediately.
