Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract to the yeast mixture.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine flour and salt.
  4. Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture until a dough forms.
  5. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth.
  6. Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover with a cloth. Let it rise for 1 hour.
  7. Punch down the dough and fold in raisins and walnuts.
  8. Shape the dough into rolls and place them on a baking sheet.
  9. Let the rolls rise for another 30 minutes.
  10. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
